Daptly Privacy Notice

Daptly is a voice-first strength-training log. This notice explains the data used during the small pilot for regular lifters.

What Daptly collects

When you create an account, Supabase processes your email address and authentication information. Daptly stores the workouts, exercises, sets, dates, and optional feedback you choose to record. Your workout data is associated with your account.

If you choose to use voice logging, your live audio is sent directly to OpenAI to provide the voice interaction. Daptly's session server does not store audio recordings or transcripts. Structured workout changes are saved only after the app successfully records them.

Analytics is optional. If you opt in, Daptly sends limited product-use events to PostHog EU using a pseudonymous account identifier. These events do not include audio, transcripts, email addresses, exercise names, workout names, or feedback text.

Why Daptly uses this data

We use account and workout data to provide the app, keep your workouts available across sessions, and investigate pilot support requests. Optional analytics helps us understand whether voice logging is useful and where the product is difficult to use. Optional feedback is reviewed to improve the pilot.

Where data is processed

Accounts, workouts, and feedback are hosted with Supabase in Frankfurt, Germany. Optional product analytics is hosted with PostHog EU. Voice audio is processed by OpenAI when voice logging is active. Your device also keeps a local workout cache and a pending-upload queue so an interrupted connection does not lose a recorded set.

Your choices

You can log workouts manually, decline microphone access, mute voice logging, and turn optional analytics off in the app's Account settings. Turning analytics off stops new analytics events. You can sign out at any time.

Retention and deletion

Pilot data is retained only while needed to operate and evaluate the pilot. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your pilot account and associated workout data, contact the Daptly pilot coordinator who invited you. We will verify the request against the account before acting on it.
